Melium Group president Datuk Farah Khan was recently awarded the Italian Star of Solidarity Order (The Ordine della Stella della Solidarietà Italiana) by Italian Ambassador to Malaysia Alessandro Busacca in conjunction with his country’s National Day.
“As a woman of great self esteem and prestige, one of the leading personalities in the fashion community and public life in Malaysia, Datuk Farah Khan has played a pivotal role in the strengthening of the economic and cultural relations between Italy and Malaysia,” said Busacca.
He added that Farah had always demonstrated a true friendship towards Italy in helping to facilitate contacts between Italian and Malaysian business communities and supporting initiatives undertaken by the Embassy.
Three years ago Farah received the Alta Gamma Award, which was given to her in Italy in recognition of her contribution in promoting Italian fashion and lifestyle in Malaysia.
Among the guests at the event was Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Liow Tiong Lai.
