Get ready for Penang Starwalk

HERITAGE and health enthusiasts can look forward to joining the Penang Starwalk 2013, which is back again for its 36th edition, on Sept 15.

It also marks the third year that the walk will be held at the Penang Times Square in Jalan Datuk Keramat, where participants can go on a George Town heritage route.

Interested participants can start registering from July 8 onwards at the Star Northern Hub in Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah and Penang Times Square during office hours.

Registration counters at The Star office in Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling will not be open for the walk this year.

The event’s first committee meeting, which also saw the unveiling of the Penang Starwalk 2013 logo, was held at the Star Northern Hub.

Present were The Star’s senior regional manager (operations) David Yeoh, advertisement manager (north) Simone Leong, assistant manager in production (north) M. Manimaran, IT manager (north) Khoo Boo Taik, assistant manager for HR and Security Flomina Anthony, Penang Amateur Athletics Association secretary V. Govindasamy, Penang Times Square advertising and promotions assistant manager Ooi Sock Kean, operation manager Low Eng Chuan and Penang Municipal Council administrative assistant Hashim Johan.
