Nutrition for skin

What can shorten the life span of your hair? The hardening of collagen and fibronectin structure, along with root malnutrition can lead to a thinning pate, and loss of hair as one ages.

L’Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert has launched its first anti-hair thinning roll-on, combining the effects of Aminexil to loosen the collagene sheath, omega 6 for nourishing the hair roots and ceramide to reinforce hair structure.

Aminexil comes with a roll-on applicator which regulates flow and evenly spreads the formula onto the scalp.

For starters, users can apply one dose per day for six consecutive weeks during the Intensive Programme, and then taper off to a Maintenance Programme for a minimum three doses per week for eight weeks. Massage the formula onto the scalp with circular motions and don’t rinse.

Regarded as a serum, this can be used alongside L’Oreal Professionnel Density Shampoo that’s specially designed for fine and thinning hair, Sensi Conditioner, and Trinical, claimed to revitalise the scalp, support hair growth and prevent hair loss.

Price: RM140 and RM435. Available at authorised L’Oreal Professionnel salons.

Two-sided approach by Elianto

DO you worry about your less-than-flawless looking skin? Do dark age spots bother you? Elianto has released a new skincare range that combats such problems via a two-pronged approach to effectively reduce dark spots and prevent future discoloration.

Made in Switzerland, the Lumino White Series uses two main active ingredients: sand lily extract and vitamin PP. The key ingredient, sand lily, is said to be a powerful neuro-active solution that treats dark spots and improves skin uniformity. Vitamin PP then protects the skin by strengthening the skin barrier, plus increasing its resistance to barrier damage.

The different products in the range – a cleanser, toner, serum, sunscreen and night cream – are said to be suitable for all skincare types. Prices start from RM59. Available at all Elianto stores nationwide.
