FOOD FAIR

BTC Wholesale Centre and Nourish! have invited the public to come along for “Slow Food in the Fast Track” this today and tomorrow (May 18 and 19) at the Weld, Jalan Raja Chulan. The public will learn about Farm/Ocean to table – living, how real, honest good food and healthy living comes about. What the rise in organics mean in today’s dining scene. There would be a produce market to buy straight from suppliers, farmers and importers.

AIDS DAY WALK

The Sungai Buloh Hospital together with KTMB will be organising a walk in conjunction with the International AIDS Memorial Day tomorrow. The event will start at 4pm from the KL Sentral station where participants meet to take the train to Sungai Buloh for the solidarity walk followed by a candlelight vigil and sharing session before heading back to the city. NURSES DAY

The Malaysian Nurses Christian Fellowship will celebrate International Nurses Day tomorrow, at the St Paul’s Church in Petaling Jaya. The event at the church located at Lorong Utara Kecil, Off Jalan Utara. will be from 4pm to 6pm. All nurses, their friends and family members are invited. Refreshments will be served. ART CONTEST

Children between 13 and 17 years diagnosed with a physical, sensory or developmental disability are invited to submit their artwork to illustrate their life, dreams and hopes through the “Colours of My World” art contest, organised by Kakikreatif, Pos Malaysia and UNICEF. Deadline of submission is June 20. Entry forms at www.unicef.my
