Perwaja to finalise terms on mining ops

PETALING JAYA: Perwaja Holdings Bhd says that it is currently in discussions with the relevant parties to finalise the terms and conditions for the award of mining rights.

It was responding to StarBiz’s report on Monday which said that Perwaja had been awarded a 243ha concession in Bukit Besi by the Terengganu government.

In confirming the report, Perwaja said once the terms and conditions had been finalised, an agreement would be signed in “due course”.

The company would make the necessary announcement at the appropriate time, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
