HyppTV treats 3,500 guests to exclusive film screening

LOYAL customers and lucky contest winners of Telekom Malaysia Berhad’s pay TV service — HyppTV — were treated to a movie screening recently at the Bukit Kiara Indoor Arena, Kuala Lumpur.

Taking cue from the successful first Moonlight Movies’ Night held last year, the second HyppTV’s indoor cinema screening featured two of HyppTV’s latest Video on Demand (VOD) selection — Puss in Boots and Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol.

The titles were selected based on a poll drive at HyppTV Facebook — Hypp World.

TM new media executive vice president Jeremy Kung said they were happy to gather more than 3,500 guests for the movies’ night.

“Treating our customers and partners to a unique and exciting event such as this outdoor movie screening is just one of the many ways TM recognises and rewards its loyal subscribers. We will definitely continue to treat you with other various exclusive events, so stay with us,” added Kung.

To make the night even more interesting, TM organised a “Puss and Kitty Softpaws Look A Like” contest where the participants were told to dress up like Puss in Boots or Kitty Softpaws and strike their best pose.

The contest saw Adam Haris Mustaqim, five, walk away with the grand prize of Panasonic LED 42” TV while his sister Ainur Mardiah Mustaqim, took home an iPad 2 as the runner-up.

Apart from taking part in contests, attendees at the event also had the chance to win exclusiveHyppTV merchandises or iPad2 if they upgraded to any UniFi packages under the “Super Speed Me” broadband upgrade promotion or if they subscribed to HyppTV’s Platinum Pack at the UniFi booth.

This invitation-only movie treat was opened to all UniFi and selected Streamyx subscribers residing in the Klang Valley.

HyppTV, TM’s IPTV service, is powered by UniFi and is available to viewers through its residential UniFi packages.

Currently, HyppTV offers customers 88 channels consisting 19 free channels, 34 premium channels, 17 Video-On-Demand (VOD) genres and 18 interactive channels.
