Kobemas helps out ailing duo

MALACCA: Two ailing individuals from Ujong Pasir Flats received monetary aid from Koperasi Bela Masyarakat (Kobemas) recently.

Established in 2010, the cooperative has been assisting the needy such the hardcore poor, sick and handicapped.

Kobemas state manager Zaireey Zahidi who was accompanied by state agencies representatives Mohd Zulkefli Mohd Yusof and Siti Madinah paid a visit to the two recepients Ronnie Rodrigues and VoonYian Yian.

Their plight was highligthed by Bandar Hilir Welfare Officer Ricky Gan Yong Hin.

Rodrigues, a former fisherman is suffering from chronic constipation where he is easily exhausted and vomited blood whenever he bends down too much.

Housewife Voon suffers from kidney failure and is currently living with her 60-year-old mother in-law Yong Pick Choon.

The 31-year-old housewife had to undergo haemodialysis for life with medical expenses funded by her husband, Goh Wei Siong a part-time computer repairman.

During the function, Zaireey presented food items for Rodrigues and Voon as Kobemas’ initial assistance for the duo.
