AirAsia teams up with Sogo to offer rewards

DEPARTMENT store Sogo Kuala Lumpur has kicked off its partnership with AirAsia BIG, the global loyalty programme of low-cost airline AirAsia.

Under “BIG Gets 5x Bigger at KL Sogo” campaign, AirAsia BIG card members (BIG Shots) are entitled to earn 5X BIG Points for every RM2 spent at KL Sogo, making it the only merchant partner to offer this privilege.

BIG Shots normally earn one BIG point for every RM2 spent at AirAsia BIG partners and Visa merchants worldwide.

KL Sogo chief operating officer Eddy Chan said: “Things are getting bigger at KL Sogo with the addition of our new partner, the AirAsia BIG Global Loyalty Programme.”

He said KL Sogo S Card members could also choose to convert their S-Points to BIG Points to redeem AirAsia and AirAsia X flights while BIG Shots who have their eyes set on the S-Rewards gifts could also make the BIG change by converting their BIG Points to S-Points. The conversion rate is one S-Point to one BIG Point and vice- versa.

All point conversions can be easily done online via the KL Sogo website www.klsogo.com.my or AirAsia BIG portal www.tune2big.com.

AirAsia BIG is an innovative global loyalty programme that allows card holders to earn BIG Points when travelling and shopping, and redeem the accumulated points for exciting rewards including flight seats on AirAsia and AirAsia X.

The AirAsia BIG Loyalty is owned and managed by Think Big Digital, a joint venture between AirAsia and Tune Money.

Meanwhile, until May 20, KL Sogo is giving away ‘Gifts with purchase’ for the first 100 BIG Shots who spend a minimum of RM200 with their AirAsia BIG Visa Card at KL Sogo every week.

Gifts include KL Sogo and AirAsia BIG premiums, shopping vouchers and complimentary three-hour use of the karaoke room at KL Sogo’s VIP Lounge, Kamar Emas.

In addition, BIG Shots who spend a minimum of RM200 with their AirAsia BIG Visa Card at KL Sogo during the promotion period are instantly in the running to win a holiday package for two to Bali.

Shoppers and members of the public who wish to go BIG are encouraged to sign up at the recruitment counters available at KL Sogo during the promotion period. As an introductory offer, the first 300 BIG Shots to spend a minimum of RM200 with their AirAsia BIG Card will each receive a RM20 KL Sogo gift voucher.

Guests at the launch at KL Sogo were treated to a powerful and fresh street dance performance by opening act, HMC Phlow who bagged second place at Showdown 2011.
