GEORGE TOWN: An Indonesian has claimed that she was raped by two policemen inside a patrol car in Bukit Tengah near Bukit Mertajam, but her allegation was strenuously denied by the state police chief.
According to sources, the factory worker made the claim at a clinic in Bayan Lepas where she had gone for a check-up yesterday.
They said the woman claimed that the taxi she was travelling in to go home was stopped by two policemen around midnight yesterday.
The woman, who works on the island but stays on the mainland, claimed that she did not have her work permit when she was questioned by the duo who later bundled her into their car and raped her.
Penang CPO Deputy Comm Datuk Abd Rahim Hanafi, however, said: “Based on the medical report, she did not show any sign of rape or trauma.”
“We then brought her to the Penang Hospital for a check-up. There was no sign of penetration,” he said.
