Yen Yen: Cops probing leak of confidential information from Tourism Ministry

PUTRAJAYA: Police are investigating confidential information being leaked from the Tourism Ministry to outside parties.

It's minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen said Thursday that it was necessary to get to the bottom of the issue as it could undermine the integrity of the ministry - and by extension the Government.

"We have given the case to the police to investigate, and to find out how this happened. It is very important that discipline is maintained," she said after her ministry's monthly gathering here.

Ng said the ministry was not overly concerned about the type of information leaked, but rather the potential for manipulation of facts by external parties that received the information, especially the Opposition.
