MISS Venezuela Marielis Castellanos was named Miss Focus Point Dazzling, a subsidiary title to the Miss Tourism International 2012 during the Focus Point 23rd annual dinner recently.
Castellanos was awarded ambassadorship by Focus Point. She walked away with more than RM3,000 in prizes, including a pair of Chopard sunglasses and cash.
All 54 Miss Tourism International 2012 finalists strutted down the runway wearing the latest luxury eyewear collection including Roberto Cavalli, Furla, Givenchy, Chopard, Carrera, Gucci, Loewe and Escada recently.
Winner of the Miss Focus Point Dazzling title was specifically judged on facial beauty and elegance as well as her glamorous stage presentation of sunglasses and optical frames.
The judges for this year’s competition included violinist, songwriter and producer Dennis Lau; former Miss Malaysia Chinatown Joey Tan, singer Winnie Kok and A Cut Above professional hairstylist Jep Soo.
This year’s annual dinner also featured a charity element as Focus Point Vision Care group contributed 3,000 units of prescribed ophthalmic eyewear worth RM300,000 in aid of needy children in local communities. The contribution will assist in the growth and development of the needy children to provide them with proper vision to excel in their future undertakings.
