PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh on recruitment of their workers to the country.
The MoU was signed by Human Resource Minister Datuk Dr S. Subramaniam and Minister for Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Khandker Mosharraf Hossain at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre Monday.
The MoU also marked the end of the ban on Bangladeshi workers, which was imposed in 2007.
No dates have been mentioned on when workers from Bangladesh would start coming.
However earlier reports indicated that the first batch could be arriving as early as January.
