Dad who allegedly killed baby girl remanded

KUANTAN: The man arrested for allegedly slashing the throat of his 11-month-old baby girl has been remanded for a week to facilitate investigations.

Kuantan police chief Asst Comm Mohd Jasmani Yusoff said the 29-year-old man was being detained at the Kuantan police station since his arrest on Friday night.

“The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code,” he added.

In the horrific incident at Felda Panching Selatan near here, the man was believed to be high on drugs when he allegedly killed his daughter with a sharp object. — Bernama
