PAS Youth demands Harakah revamp

KOTA BARU: PAS Youth has demanded that the editorial line-up of party organ Harakah be restructured.

It wants a committee to be set up to censor and control the editorial content of Harakah and Harakahdaily.

The movement said that Harakah had lost its credibility and derailed from its original purpose.

"It is as if Harakah no longer serve as an organ of the Islamic jamaah (congregation), it no longer carries the aspiration of the jamaah to propel the Islamic movement of the 21st century," the youth wing, led by Nasrudin Hassan, said in a four-point resolution that was accepted for debate during the 52nd Youth Muktamar on Thursday.

The movement also accepted without debate a resolution to intensify efforts to preach to non-Muslims.

Pas Youth proposed that PAS fully utilise the PAS Supporters' Club to enhance the understanding of Islam among non-Muslims.
