NiE contest closes, results on July 17

PETALING JAYA: The Star’s annual Newspaper-in-Education (NiE) contest came to a close on July 2.

The contest, which required students to put together a three-page mini magazine themed “Speak Out!”, is co-sponsored by Pizza Hut and held in collaboration with the Education Ministry.

Pizza-worthy effort: The Star employees sifting through piles of Mag Inc 2011 entries from all over the country after the contest came to a close earlier this month.

Last year, Pizza Hut delighted the 120,000 participants with RM1.2mil worth of pizza vouchers.

This year sees a 12% increase in the number of participating schools. Teacher-coordinators can log in to The Star-NiE contest website (contest.thestar.com.my/nie/voucher.asp) on July 17 to check and double-check your school’s voucher tally list.

Note that no amendments to the tally will be entertained after July 26.
