Selangor Sultan’s mother dies

KUALA LUMPUR: Raja Saidatul Ihsan Tengku Badar Shah, mother of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, died Tuesday, the sultan's private secretary, Datuk Munir Bani, said. She was 88.

Raja Saidatul Ihsan died at about 9am at Ampang Puteri Hospital here, he said when contacted by Bernama.

Her remains would be brought to the Istana Alam Shah in Klang and laid to rest at the Royal Mausoleum in Shah Alam after the "Asar" prayers, he added. - Bernama
