Tanjung Kupang toll rates cut by 30%

PETALING JAYA: The toll rates at the Tanjung Kupang toll plaza of the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link will be reduced by 30% from tomorrow.

The Malaysian Highway Authority said the reduction was applicable to all types of vehicles.

“The reduction was in line with what Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had announced on June 22,” the MHA said in a statement yesterday.

It said the move was aimed at encouraging more motorists to use the Second Link Highway and to ease traffic congestion at the Johor Causeway.

“This is also an incentive to attract more Singaporean tourists,” it added.

The new toll rates are: motorcycles (RM1.10), car (RM7.50), taxi (RM5.70) and bus (RM9.10).
