Minnal FM deejays spread Christmas joy with artistes

THE Minnal FM Christmas Show held at Auditorium Perdana in Angkasapuri recently turned out to be a joyful night especially for about 500 children in the audience.

Not one but two Santa Claus were present to give away presents to the children.

The programme was part of the radio station’s activities to celebrate Christmas with the public.

Producer Johnson Sinnappan said he was pleased with the response.

“There were about 1,500 people in the audience. It made the show a merry affair.

“The programme was for radio but we had invited dancers to make it a lively affair,’’ he said.

Besides seasoned artistes like Lawrence, Anthony, Rajkumar and Puvaneswaran, DJs from Minnal FM also took to the stage. Among them were N. Buvanesvary, V. Buvana, Saras Bijin, T, Thevigakan, V. Tayagi, S. Anand, S. Punitha and M. Selvadorai.

Spectators were also invited on stage to join in the celebrations. Some were rewarded with hampers and other prizes for answering simple questions.

Johnson said the programme was a big success as they had received positive feedback from the spectators.

“We have also been getting congratulatory messages from the public. We are encouraged with the response. We will be initiating more programmes with the public being involved,’’ said Johnson.
