International reserves at US$104bil


KUALA LUMPUR: The international reserves of Bank Negara amounted to US$104.3bil as at Jan 15. 

In a statement yesterday, the central bank said the reserves position was sufficient to finance 8.8 months of retained imports and was 6.1 times the short-term external debt.  

ING Funds declares income distribution 

KUALA LUMPUR: ING Funds Bhd has declared another 0.5 sen income distribution for its ING Global Real Estate fund for the quarter ended December 2007. 

In a statement, ING said the sixth quarterly income distribution represented a distribution yield of 1% based on the par value of 50 sen. 

“The fund has distributed a total of 3.5 sen since its launch in July 2006, which is equivalent to 7% yield,” the statement said. – Bernama
