Single-session schools a great idea

I DON’T understand why some people do not agree with the suggestion by the Prime Minister on a single session for schools.

Can’t these people think more positively? It is a good idea and should have been done a long time ago.

And teachers, please stop being selfish! The single-session school won’t make you babysitters for working parents or anybody. If school dismisses at 4pm, I assume it means that it won’t be starting as early as 7.30am.

It is going to be the same as the private schools that have a single session, which starts at 8am or 8.30am and dismisses around 3.30pm or 4pm. Everything will be done during those hours, i.e. lessons and co-curriculum activities.

On top of that, morning is the best time for kids to learn.

Can’t you see how it will make your life easier? You don’t have to come back in the evening for co-curriculum activities.

I believe the government/ministry will look into this and come up with a sensible time arrangement.

So please, stop complaining or arguing over this. Children definitely will have more time at home with their families since they are dismissed from school at 4pm instead of 6pm (afternoon session school).
