Hotlines open to check PMR results

KUALA LUMPUR: Students in flood-hit areas can check their Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) exam results through several hotlines Thursday from 10am to 7pm.

According to a statement from the Education Ministry, candidates can call the Malaysian Examinations Syndicate (MES) hotline for their results.

When contacting the hotlines, candidates must provide their full name, school name, exam number and identity card number. Students who use these numbers will still have to obtain their result slips from their respective schools later.

The PMR 2007 exam results will be released to all students at their respective schools today from 10am.

Meanwhile, Bernama reports that PMR candidates affected by the floods in Pahang can get their results from their schools Thursday, as the floodwaters have subsided.

“All schools will be opened tomorrow and the teachers will ensure that the PMR candidates get their result slips,” state education director Abdul Aziz Abdul Latiff said on Wednesday.
