MP: Some Malaysians practising Satanism

THERE is a dark side out there, a world where its believers drank blood and practised Satanism.

It was so sinister that one MP said he was too frightened to even repeat some lyrics from a Black Metal group which contained phrases like “God is dead”.

Datuk Mohamed Aziz (BN – Sri Gading) said such deviant teachings were practised by a small number of people but could spread if they were not stopped.

“Some of them, including the Malays, admit to be the devil,” he said.

The MP said the magazine Mastika had reported about these social ills among the youths. They included homosexuality, Black Metal and drug abuse.

Others claimed that they were God or the devil, he added.

“Perhaps the ministry should have a discussion on how to deal with these ills which are worst than the Jahiliah (pagan) era,” he said.

They deviated from Islamic teachings, he said, adding that Jakim must take quick and effective action to eradicate them.

Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin (BN – Kinabatangan) said it was odd that the Home Ministry did not ban books about satanism and “head-banging”.

Black Metal music, he said, was bad influence for the youths.

Mohd Said Yusof (BN – Jasin) pointed out that the Black Metal followers consumed drugs as without them they could not do the “head-banging”.

Datuk Raja Ahmad Zainudin Raja Omar (BN – Larut) asked whether Jakim should be restructured, pointing out that the religious authority could not even act against Ayah Pin.
