Tan Sri Zarinah Anwar was appointed Chairman of the Securities Commission, Malaysia on 1 April 2006. She had served as the Deputy Chief Executive of the SC and Member of the Commission since 1 December 2001. Tan Sri Zarinah currently chairs the Malaysian Venture Capital Development Council (MVCDC) and the Capital Market Development Fund (CMDF).

She is a Member of the Labuan Offshore Financial Services Authority (LOFSA), Foreign Investment Committee (FIC), Financial Reporting Foundation, National Innovation Council and Institut Integriti Malaysia. Prior to joining the SC, Tan Sri Zarinah was the Deputy Chairman of Shell Malaysia.

Y Bhg Dato' Yusli Mohamed Yusoff,
Chief Executive Officer, Bursa Malaysia Berhad

Dato’ Yusli Mohamed Yusoff graduated with a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Essex in 1981. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, England & Wales, the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as an Honorary Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia. He has held various key positions in numerous companies in Malaysia, whose activities spanned over property, infrastructure development, telecommunications, engineering and merchant banking. His career in the stockbroking industry began when he was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of CIMB Securities Sdn Bhd in January 2000. He also served as the Chairman of the Association of Stockbroking Companies in Malaysia from 2003 to 2004. Presently, Dato’ Yusli is the Chief Executive Officer of Bursa Malaysia Berhad and a director of its group of companies. He also sits on the Malaysian Capital Market Development Fund Board.

Y Bhg Dato’ Kok Wee Kiat,
Honorary President, Business Council for Sustainable Development Malaysia

Dato’ Kok Wee Kiat served as the Chair of the Environmental Quality Council of Malaysia for the past 9 years. He is a strong advocate of sustainable business particularly within the context of corporate environmental responsibility. He is also the Honorary President of the Business Council for Sustainable Development Malaysia. He has served as a Trustee of the Environmental Management & Research Association of Malaysia since 2003 and as a member of the Advisory Board, Asia Pacific Roundtable on Sustainable Consumption & Production since 2004. In recognition of his stellar work in sustainable development, the United Nations Development Program selected Dato’ Kok as an UNDP Awardee for Development & Environment in 2001. Dato’ Kok also holds directorship with Aluminum Company of Malaysia Bhd, Bank of Nova Scotia Bhd, and Bata Malaysia.

Y Bhg Datuk Peter Wentworth,
Chairman, British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce

Datuk Peter has a degree in mechanical engineering and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers. He also has a post-graduate qualification in finance and accounts. Datuk Peter spent over 40 years with BP in the oil, gas and petrochemical businesses, working in four countries (U.K., France, Australia, Malaysia). He headed BP Chemicals worldwide projects prior to being appointed Chief Executive Officer of BP Malaysia in 1998. His portfolio was expanded to be Head of Country for Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand in 2005. Datuk Peter retired from BP at the end of June 2009 to become active in the consulting company, CEO Solutions that he co-founded in 2005. Datuk Peter has served on a number of committees in Malaysia, and in February 2005, took over the Chairmanship of the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce.

Professor Carol Adams
Deputy Dean, Director of Sustainability Faculty of Law and Management,
La Trobe University, Melbourne

Professor Adams qualified as an accountant with KPMG and gained her MSc and PhD from the London School of Economics and the University of Glasgow. She joined La Trobe University in 2005 and is currently working as Professor of Accounting and Sustainable Development Strategy, Director of Sustainability for the University and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law and Management. She is also an Honorary Visiting Professor at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. Adams is currently on the Advisory Group of the IFC (a member of the World Bank Group) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) joint global project to promote Gender and Sustainability Reporting. She served as a Board Director and Council Member of the Institute of Social and Ethical AccountAbility (AccountAbility).

Adams is Editor of the Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal. She is one of the most read and cited authors worldwide in the field of social and environmental accounting and sustainability reporting, and has conducted research and advisory work in the field of sustainable development strategy, environmental management systems and sustainability reporting with companies, NGOs and the public sector in various countries.
