PETALING JAYA: Malaysia have failed to gain immediate promotion to the Davis Cup Asia-Oceania Zone Group II.
In the make-or-break final match of Group B yesterday, Malaysia lost 2-0 to Qatar to finish third and miss out on a place in the semi-finals of the Group III tournament in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
