KUALA LUMPUR: Imran Daniel Abdul Hazli’s gamble in playing in the higher-age category paid off when he bagged the boys’ Under-14 singles title in the first leg of the Malaysian Junior Tennis Tour.

The 10-year-old Imran capped a perfect start to the season by beating Penang’s Chan Soon Keat 6-4, 6-2 in the final at the National Tennis Centre in Jalan Duta on Monday.
