KUALA LUMPUR: Alexandra Dulgheru booked her first semi-final appearance of a WTA Tour-level event in five years at the BMW Malaysian Open.

The 25-year-old Romanian continued her fine run of form to beat eighth seed Julia Goerges of Germany 7-6 (7-5), 7-5 at the Royal Selangor Golf Club.
