PETALING JAYA: Malaysian squash queen Nicol David (pic) stayed in the hunt for a record ninth Women's World Championship crown.

The 33-year-old Nicol, however, had to stave off a challenge from Hong Kong's world No. 11 Annie Au for a 12-10, 11-4, 13-11 second round win in El Gouna, Egypt on Sunday.
