PETALING JAYA: Eleven years and a total of 59 matches. That’s how long it took for world No. 3 Nicol David’s proud unbeaten record at the Hong Kong Open to come an end.

It took the hard-hitting and aggressive play of Egypt’s 18-year-old Nouran Gohar to out-muscle Nicol for an 11-9, 11-7, 11-13, 11-9 win in the semi-finals at the Hong Kong Squash Centre on Saturday.
