KUALA LUMPUR: World No. 5 Nicol David enjoyed a far easier second-round outing to set up a rematch with Egypt’s Nour El Sherbini in the quarter-finals of the Naza Women’s World Championship.
After surviving a five-set scare against Australia’s Rachael Grinham in the first round, the 32-year-old Nicol hardly put a foot wrong as she clinched an 11-9, 11-3, 11-5 win over world No. 11 Alison Waters in the second round on Wednesday.
