Wei Yan braces for Korean hurdle in poomsae


TAEKWONDO exponent Chew Wei Yan has to get past a Korean hurdle to stand a medal chance in the men’s individual poomsae (non sparring) at the Jakarta Convention Centre today.

In the draw yesterday, Wei Yan has been pitted against Choy Cheuk Yin of Hong Kong in the first round and will likely face off against South Korean debutant Kang Min-sung in the last eight.
