PETALING JAYA: National archer Khairul Anuar Mohamad marked his first World Cup appearance of the season with a strong start by reaching the third round of the Antalya leg in Turkey.
The 26-year-old, who missed out on the opening leg in Shanghai three weeks ago due to illness, cleared his first two hurdles in style by whipping Sanjeev De Silva of Sri Lanka 6-0 (27-24, 29-26, 28-26) and Serbia’s Nikola Stefanovic 7-1 (29-29, 30-23, 28-27, 28-24) yesterday.
