LIMA (Reuters) - Los Angeles will benefit from having longer to get ready for the 2028 summer Olympics after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) decided to award the hosting rights to two Games at its session vote this week, mayor Eric Garcetti said.
Past Olympic hosts had seven years to prepare from when they were awarded the Games to their staging, compared to LA's 11.
