KUALA LUMPUR: Jong Yee Khie lifted a personal best of 212kg to win the bronze medal in the IPC Powerlifting World Cup at the Grand Seasons Hotel.
But his effort in the men’s below 97kg class to capture Malaysia’s first medal in the senior category does not guarantee him a place in the Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro in September.
