KUALA LUMPUR: Sports Commissioner Ahmad Shapawi Ismail has been appointed as the new director-general of the National Sports Council (NSC).
The 51-year-old Shapawi will start his two-year tenure on Friday. He takes over from Datuk Seri Zolkples Embong, who is now the chief executive officer of the 2017 Kuala Lumpur SEA Games.
