KUALA LUMPUR: The Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) will make their selection of athletes for both the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games next week.
OCM secretary general Datuk Sieh Kok Chi said the selection committee would meet over two days on March 24-25 to pick the athletes for both Games.
“For sports that have already qualified (through the qualifying process), the selection will be a fomality. For the other athletes, their respective national associations (NSAs) must present their reasons for them to be considered for selection.
“The NSAs who are interested in competing in the two Games should start preparing their recommendations for submission to the selection committee,” added Kok Chi.
The Commonwealth Games will be held in Glasgow from July 23-Aug 3 while the Asian Games is slated from Sept 19-Oct 4 in Incheon, South Korea.
