SEPANG: It was a proud moment for former Formula 1 driver Jos Verstappen watching his son Max finish first at the final Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix.

"I am very proud. We worked very hard and long to arrive in Formula 1. To be in the first position for the second time is very special," he said when met at the circuit on Sunday.
