PETALING JAYA: Mohd Akid Aziz clinched the CP115 overall crown in spectacular style after winning the final leg of the Petronas AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship in Taiping.
All the Petronas Yamaha Maju Motor rider needed was to finish in the top eight to win the overall crown. But once he took over the lead in the fourth lap, there were no challengers and Akid cruised home in 15:35.252. He scored a dominant 2.9-second win over Azroy Hakeem Anuar of Honda (15:38.205) and team-mate Mohd Haziq Fairues (15:55.336).
