SEPANG: Having denied Mercedes a 1-2 pole start in 10 races, former world champion Sebastian Vettel is now hoping the weather will be kind to help him in his bid to rein in his rivals.
The German, world champion from 2010-2013, powered his Ferrari to second place for the starting grid. He was just 0.074 seconds slower than pole sitter Lewis Hamilton of Britain.
