PETALING JAYA: Japan’s Yuki Ito stormed to his maiden SuperSports 600cc pole ahead of Malaysia’s Mohd Zaqhwan Zaidi in the fourth round of the Petronas Asia Road Racing Championships (ARRC) at the Suzuka circuit in Japan.
The Petronas Hong Leong Yamaha rider set the fastest time of 2:14.242 in Saturday’s qualifying session to secure first place on the grid for Sunday’s race. Zaqhwan of Musashi Boon Siew Honda settled for second in 2:14.282.
