Kitayama endures roller-coaster ride to lift title


PETALING JAYA: American Kurt Kitayama survived a late scare to secure his first-ever victory at the RM225,000 PGM Darulaman Championship in Kedah.

Kitayama went through a roller-coaster final round to claim a wire-to-wire win by two strokes from compatriot John Catlin after returning a two-under 70 to finish the tournament at 21-under 267 at the Darulaman Golf Club in Jitra.
