IN A MOVE that will be welcomed across the world Tours, particularly the players, the R&A and the United States Golf Association jointly announced that with effect from Jan 1 rules officials will no longer entertain television viewers pointing out infringements.

In a communiqué this week, the R&A said a Local Rule to eliminate scorecard penalty would also come into effect.
