PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s Danny Chia (pic) is just three shots off the lead after a carding a solid opening round of two-under 68 at the US$2mil (RM8.4mil) UBS Hong Kong Open.

The two-time Asian Tour winner, who turns 45 next Wednesday, mixed four birdies with two bogeys at the Hong Kong Golf Club yesterday to be joint 13th with seven others, including newly-crowned European Tour No. 1 Tommy Fleetwood, Olympic gold medallist Justin Rose of England and Thai legend Thongchai Jaidee.
