FOLLOWING his victory at the 51st Malaysian Amateur Closed Championships, which were run concurrently with the 49th Kedah Amateur Open at Darulaman Golf & Country Club in Jitra, Kedah, Rhaasrikanesh Kanavathi earned himself an invitation to the Asia-Pacific Open Diamond Cup.

This is an event scheduled on the Asian Tour and is to be hosted at Caledonian Golf Club in Chiba, Japan from Sept 21 to 24. It carries prize money of US$1.37mil.
