Afif hoping to make cut for SEA Games golf squad

PETALING JAYA: Youngster Muhd Afif Fathi (pic) is staking a strong claim for a spot in the four-man national golf team for the Aug 19-31 Kuala Lumpur SEA Games.

The 16-year-old amateur finished an impressive joint 11th at the PGM Panasonic Malaysia Championship at the Kelab Rah­man Putra in Sungai Buloh on Saturday. He was the second best Malaysian player in the 132-man field at the co-sanctioned Asian Development Tour (ADT) event.
