PETALING JAYA: Gavin Kyle Green is thrilled to be taking his first tentative steps towards his ultimate dream of playing on the US PGA Tour as he tees off in first round of the US$6mil (RM25.13mil) Safeway Open in California on Thursday.

The 22-year-old is competing in this week’s PGA Tour season-opening event headlined by Phil Mickelson, who is competing as a sponsor’s invite.
