American O'Toole grabs first round lead at PGM Penang

PETALING JAYA: John Michael O’Toole set the first-round pace at the PGM Penang Championship after shooting a sublime eight-under 64.

The 23-year-old American carded nine birdies and one bogey at the Penang Golf Club on Wednesday to claim a one-stroke lead over Australia’s Adam Blyth. Thai Suradit Yongcharoenchai and American Nick Sherwood are a shot further back after shooting identical 66s.
