Shunya nails PGM UMW title


KUALA LUMPUR: Shunya Takeyasu of Japan edged an unlucky Namchok Tantipokhakul of Thailand to win his first career title at the PGM UMW Championship.

The 23-year-old Japanese posted a blemish free card, which included five birdies, to close with a five-under 67 to triumph in the Asian Development Tour (ADT) event with a 16-under 272 total at the Templer Park Country Club.
