Steel closes in on leader in Lumut

Airil Rizman celebrates after scoring a hole-in-one at the par-3, 13th hole of the Swiss Garden Closed Championships in Lumut on Friday. - PGM

PETALING JAYA: Iain Steel and Airil Rizman stole the third round show with identical six-under 66s at the PGM Tour’s Swiss Garden Closed Championships at Damai Laut Golf and Country Club in Lumut.

But it’s Kemarol Baharin, with an even-par 72 on Friday, who maintained his lead with a three-day total of 211. Steel and Airil’s feat saw them equalling the course record that was set by Singapore’s Lam Chi Bing in August 2006.
