PETALING JAYA: Hans Jamil is at the top of the leaderboard after the first day of the PGM Tour’s Swiss Garden Closed Championship at the Damai Laut Golf & Country Club in Lumut, Perak, after firing a three-under 69.

With one bogey and four birdies on his card on Wednesday, Hans had a one-stroke lead over S. Murthy and Rashid Ismail, who are both tied for second in the RM160,000 tournament which is making its debut on the local circuit.

Commenting on his performance, Hans said he could have done better if he had converted a couple of other chances that came his way.

“Overall, I am happy with the way I played,” he said. “The course played tough on most holes and that is why the scoring was not too low.”
