(Reuters) - England manager Gareth Southgate put a positive spin on preparations for friendlies against Germany and Brazil after a spate of withdrawals due to injury, saying he relished the chance to introduce new faces ahead of next year's World Cup.

Tottenham Hotspur trio Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Harry Winks were ruled out of the initial 25-man squad for the coming days' fixtures, and Fabian Delph, Raheem Sterling and Jordan Henderson have since also pulled out.
